Bonaventure, Dolphin Tour & Tybee Beach

4/4/18

Wednesday morning started with another sunrise walk.  We had a few hours to kill before our dolphin tour so we decided to head into Savannah to check out the famous Bonaventure Historical Cemetery.  I know, a little morbid, but it was honestly amazing.  Not only were the grounds beautiful, but the statutes were like nothing I've ever seen before.  After we finished our walk through Bonaventure we headed to Mike's dolphin tour on Tybee Island.  The dolphin tour took us right out to the beach we've been going to at the end of our rental street.  We saw several different pods of dolphins and the kids had a blast spotting them.  We learned that all dolphins dorsal fins are different and that is how you can tell them apart.  We also learned you can tell a dolphins age by their teeth.  They have to be cut open and inside you can count the rings, like a tree, to see how old the dolphin is.  The tour also gave us a close up view of Cockspur Lighthouse.  When we returned to shore we ate at Coco's sunset grill.  This was one of the best burgers I've ever had!  We spent the afternoon playing at the beach and soaking up the sun.

This view was everything!

Our beach had a shipping lane from the Savannah river out to the Atlantic.  The ships were HUGE!
