We had a busy Friday. Owen spent most of the afternoon outside playing in his pool, sprinkler and water table. He also helped me plant a few flowers into pots for the front porch. After dinner we headed over to Charlotte to the car show. We checked out all the cars. Owen said the car with the flames was his favorite and his monster truck (Grandpa Jim's '79 truck) was his next favorite. We walked down and got ice cream at DQ, which was short lived since Owen was afraid he was going to miss the cars. He kept yelling, "Come on guys, we are missing the car show!" Never mind the fact we already looked at every car there. On our way back to ER we saw a 5 hot air balloons. We watched one land at the end of Flanders and M50. Owen was really excited to see the hot air balloons since he has never seen one before. As we were driving away it let out a loud air whoosh which had him yelling, "What was that?" We stopped at Great Grandma Eva and Great Grandpa Ellis's house to drop of Grandpa Ellis' fathers day card since they were leaving for Oregon in the morning.
