We left Wednesday night after school to head to South Carolina for Spring Break with the Andersons. We had planned on stopping in Lexington, Kentucky. After arriving we found all hotels were booked due to opening weekend at the local horse race track. We ended up driving awhile more and staying the night in Richmond, Kentucky. We took off Thursday morning planning on stopping for the night in Greenville, South Carolina. Since we had the day to kill we stopped at Smoky Mountains National Park in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. We hiked to a waterfall. The boys absolutely loved the hike and checking out the falls. We made it to Greenville, SC around dinner time and discovered the entire town was booked with a biology conference. We stopped for dinner and headed toward Charleston. We ended up stopping for the night in Clinton, SC. It turned out for the best as the hotel had a pool and a playground. On Friday we stopped at Cypress Gardens before heading to our rental on IOP, SC. We hiked a trail at Cypress Gardens, check out their amphibian aquarium, butterfly house, and took a boat ride through the swamp.
